SmartNest Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") operates the HisabNest mobile application (the "App"). We are strongly committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal and financial data. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and protection of your information when you use our App.

By downloading, installing, and using HisabNest, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.

1. Information Collection and Storage (Offline-First Architecture)

HisabNest is strictly an "Offline-First" application. We prioritize your privacy above all else.

• Local Database Storage: All the data you enter into the App—including cash denominations, customer ledger records (Udhar), inventory items, shopping lists, and business profile details—is stored exclusively on your device's internal storage using a secure, local SQLite database.
• No Cloud Servers: We do not collect, transmit, upload, sync, or store any of your personal, financial, or business data on our servers, third-party cloud servers, or any remote databases. Your data belongs entirely to you and never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

2. Device Permissions and Usage

To provide certain features, HisabNest requires access to specific device permissions. We handle these strictly according to Google Play Developer Policies:

• Camera and Photo Gallery: The App may request access to your device's camera or photo library. This is used solely to allow you to upload a company logo or signature stamp for your PDF invoices. These images are saved locally on your device and are never uploaded to the internet or any external servers.
• Storage / File Access: The App requires storage permissions to securely generate PDF reports, save files, and allow you to export or import your database backup files. We do not access or read any other personal files on your device.

3. Sharing of Information

Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, we have no data to sell, trade, rent, or share with third parties.

• User-Initiated Sharing: The App contains features that allow you to share calculations, PDF invoices, and text statements with your customers or contacts. This sharing is entirely initiated and controlled by you using third-party applications installed on your device (e.g., WhatsApp, Email, SMS). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party services.

4. Data Security and Backup Recommendations

Since HisabNest operates completely offline, you are solely responsible for the safety, security, and backup of your data. If you uninstall the App, clear the App’s data, or lose your device, your data will be permanently deleted. We have no way to recover it for you.

• Regular Backups: We strongly advise you to regularly use the "Backup Data (Export)" feature located in the App's Settings to secure your data.
• Recommended Backup Method (Gmail): For the safest and most reliable backup experience, we highly recommend sharing/exporting your backup file directly to your Gmail account (e.g., emailing it to yourself). Storing the file as a Gmail attachment is a highly secure way to ensure your data is never lost and can be easily imported back into the App using the "Restore Data (Import)" option whenever needed.

5. External Platforms and Official Links

Our App contains links to our official website and our official Instagram page (@hisabnest). While the content on these specific pages is strictly owned and operated by SmartNest Technologies, please note that they are hosted on external third-party platforms. We do not control the data collection practices, cookies, or privacy policies of these underlying hosting platforms. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policies of these respective platforms to understand how they handle your information when you visit those links. We assume no responsibility for the background practices of any third-party hosting services.

6. Disclaimer of Liability for Calculations

HisabNest is designed to assist you with cash counting, inventory management, and maintaining business ledgers. While we strive to provide the most accurate mathematical calculations possible, technical limitations in software programming (such as floating-point arithmetic handling) or device-specific processing may occasionally result in negligible, minor discrepancies in decimal values.

• No Financial Liability: By using this App, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that SmartNest Technologies and its developers are not liable for any financial losses, damages, legal issues, or discrepancies arising from the use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, any minor calculation errors, plus/minus discrepancies, or data loss. You are encouraged to independently verify critical financial calculations.

7. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Because our App operates offline and does not collect data, children's data is never transmitted to us. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app features, legal regulations, or operational practices.
